Introduction

This privacy policy sets out how we use and protect any information that you give to us when you become a member of Vivary Golf Club. We are committed to protecting the privacy and security of your personal information. This privacy statement describes how we collect and use personal information about you during and after your membership of the Club in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) to ensure that your privacy is protected.

When you complete an application to join the Club certain personal information is collected from you (for example: your name, email address, gender, golf handicap, type of membership sought). You can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement and we will never release your personal details to any third party without your express consent.

Data Protection law requires that the personal information we hold about you must be:

  • Used lawfully, fairly and in a transparent way.
  • Collected only for valid purposes that we have clearly explained to you and not used in any way that is incompatible with those purposes.

  • Handicap ability
  • Membership Category
What we do with the information we gather

Information held is used to administer your membership and to provide and services you have requested from the Club as follows:

  • Internal Club record keeping.
  • Sending subscription notices to you.
  • Recording financial transactions to your subscription account.
  • Contacting you with relevant Club correspondence and newsletters
  • Maintaining a record of any competitions you play in.
  • Maintaining a record of your handicap and related CDH Number.
  • Providing you with a Member’s Card for discounted bar facilities.
  • Confirm your handicap to other Golf Clubs if they request confirmation of your handicap for any competitions you have entered with them.
Data Retention and Security

Vivary Golf Club will retain your personal information on our Club membership database for the duration of your membership. We take your privacy seriously and all such information is held on secure servers with appropriate access controls. Vivary Golf Club complies with all applicable Data Protection Regulations.

Your duty to inform us of changes

It is important that the personal information we hold about you is accurate and current. Please keep us informed if your personal information changes during your membership of the Club.
