Leading the way were Nigel Hutchings and newcomer Colin Dyke, very tight match but lost 2 & 1.
Match 3 saw Mark Payne & Robbie Miller snr, good match overall down by 1 on the turn but managed to win 3 & 2 to make it 1 each.
Graham Stagg and Eddie Cullen held on for a 1 up win – 2-1 to Vivary,
Bob Stout and Jim Kenworthy had quite a surprise losing 5 & 4, scores 2-2.
So we now have Game 2 and the decider, Steve Wilson and Dave Skinner turned out to be a great game – all square after 18. So back up the first tee again, Dixy’s face when looking up the hill again. Halve the first, on to the second, and when Wilse & Dixy staggered through the door with big smiles, we knew it was a win for Vivary, great away win.
Now onto the quarter final and you never know a home draw.
